Why are breakups always often messy? Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks went their separate ways a few months ago and we assumed it was mutual and amicable. But now she's talking about it, and it's not nice. Worse, Jason is spreading stuff on the internet to get back at her. How juvenile right? Well, she was asked in an interview with Power 105’s The Breakfast Club yesterday, how they broke up and she revealed that he just cut her off. She said she kept calling his phone but he never picked and she didn't even know they were officially broken up when he revealed it to the press.

Jason Derulo had earlier said he did not intend to speak on the details regarding his split from Jordin Sparks, except to insist there was no infidelity or cheating involved. However, he has opened up in an interview with Ryan Seacrest, saying the pressure to get married led to the break down of the 3-year long relationship.

 Many expected Jason to propose to Jordin after he released a song titled, “Marry Me,” and featured Jordin Sparks in the music video [watch].

Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo have split, if multiple sources are to be believed. According to E! News, their breakup is reported to be mutual, and they still care very deeply for each other and will remain in each other lives as friends.

The couple were first romantically linked together around September 2011, and then Jason Derulo confirmed it in January 2012.

Last year, the two sparked engagement rumors when the 25-year-old recording artist proposed to Sparks, 24, in the music video for "Marry Me," which was inspired by their real-life romance.
